Sony Releases Music Unlimited App for Android

After a long wait, Qriocity subscribers are now able to install Sonys Music Unlimited app on their Android devices. The phone is capable with Android versions 2.1, 2.2, and 2.3. You can now access and play seven million songs on your Android device without taking up storage space on your phone. Well, the app requires 22mb of SD storage which is a lot for an android app. You do not need to have a Sony branded phone or device to access the service. It is available to all Android phones.

Music Unlimited is similar to Pandora and Rhapsody but offers a wider selection of music availble for streaming. The service has two subscription offers. At $3.99 per month you can browse through basic channels and match content in your library with music on Sonys servers. At $9.99 per month you get all the features of the basic subscription plus the ability to create your own playlists and access premium channels and create your own library. You get a 30 day free trial to the service if you are new.

I strongly urge anyone who streams music or video to their phone to subscribe to a monthly data plan of at least 1gb.
